Snorkelling conditions
Fortunately, it is possible to snorkel in Lanzarote all year round, although from December to April the water temperature is 18 degrees Celsius, which some people find too cold. A disadvantage that only a wetsuit can solve. From May onwards, temperatures rise and the water starts to get warmer until August and October reaching 25 degrees Celsius. Besides, we all know that the temperature in the Canary Islands is good almost all year round, ranging between 20 and 30 degrees during these months. In winter, things change a bit, and we get down to 12 degrees. Nevertheless, many people decide to snorkel because the underwater visibility is spectacular. There is a lot to see when snorkelling, from fish and seahorses to octopus, slugs and crabs amongst others. Don’t think twice! Visit Lanzarote for your first snorkelling experience.
